Beaverton Pharmacy has had several owners including Wally Boyd, Don Gartland, Tom and Pam Herbage, and now Wade & Jennifer Irby. It has gone through several changes beginning with carrying compression hose, medical supplies and durable medical equipment. In the 1990’s, Tom added a compounding lab which now is used to make customized medications. Beaverton Pharmacy gradually added a gift shop and began selling Melissa & Doug toys. There have been many long-term employees that have been with the pharmacy for 29+ years. The pharmacy also enjoys many long-time loyal customers and is excited to gain new ones to the fold.

Wade and Jennifer Irby moved to lovely Beaverton from Artesia, New Mexico in July of 2014. Wade was a pharmacist in his father's pharmacy for 19+ years, he was also a compounding pharmacist for two years in Seattle, Washington.

Wade graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in August ,1996 with a degree in pharmacy. He was a member of Phi Lambda Sigma. When he moved back to Artesia in 1996, he became active in the New Mexico Pharmacy Association where he received multiple awards such as Innovative Pharmacist of the Year, and Distinguished Young Pharmacist.

Wade served as President of the association and comes from a family of independent pharmacists; his father, grandfather, and uncle all owned independent pharmacies along with his brother who is also a pharmacist.

Wade's family is extremely active in pharmacy in New Mexico. They've been key in developing a poison control center as well as monitoring insurance issues for different professions.

Jennifer was a music teacher for 15 years before retiring to become a pharmacy manager. Wade and Jennifer have five children, with one still at home. They enjoy all kinds of music and theater.
