Compounding
Pharmacy Compounding is the art & science of preparing personalized medications for patients. Compounds are made from individual ingredients in the exact strength, dosage, and form required for the patient. Our pharmacist work with the doctor to customize a medication to meet the patient’s specific needs.
Some common reasons for a compound are:
- Hormone replacement
- Dental preparations
- Pain management
- Dermatological needs
- Veterinary treatments
- Wound care
- Allergies to fillers or dyes
- A previously available product is no longer commercially available
- Commercially available products are not in the strength you need
- Commercially available medications cause nausea or other side-effects
Please note that as these products are made custom for you. The standard wait time for a compounded medication is one week.
We don't bill any insurance for any medications or medical equipment.
Claim forms are available upon request.
Each insurance company has its own rules regarding coverage on compounded medications. Review your formulary or call your insurance provider to get information regarding your plans coverage.
